Candy

By Tessa

Candy, candy

Oh, so sweat.

Candy, candy

Can't be beat!

Small, scrumptious, hard, round

Munch!

Crunch!

Such a beautiful sound.

A sweet sensation

clings to my tongue,

My fun with candy

has just begun.

At the mall,

Waiting in line,

Choosing a candy,

They're all so fine!

The lady in line behind me

Rolls her eyes.

I tap my chin

As she sighs.

The candy called to me

I couldn't resist

"Eat me!" It said

With a demanding hiss

I buy a box

And rip off the top.

I put one in my mouth

 With a plop

A sour cherry

Burst of flavor,

Or lemon, like lemonade

Is what I favor.

Smells of a sour green apple,

That just fell off a tree,

or a tangy blue raspberry,

As sweet as could be.
